A clean environment is the backbone of infection prevention efforts in nursing homes, and every staff member plays their part.

In this session, we will begin with the basics of cleaning and disinfection in healthcare. Building on these basics, we will explore how to create a cleaning and disinfection program through standardized protocols, consistent education, and process monitoring. We will highlight the infection prevention leader’s role in this program and provide long-term care focused tools to support strong oversight.
